Resort Schmilka

The romantic skipper's place Schmilka with his nice half-timbered houses, a water trouble of 1665 and his original bridge-houses is a district of Bad Schandau.

In Schmilka arises the strongest spring of the Elbe Sandstone Mountains and here the main accesses to the National parks are Saxon Switzerland and Bohemian Switzerland with the Prebischtor (the biggest rock gate of Europe) and the Edmundsklamm, to the Teufelsturm (devil's Tower), the sky manager, the Schrammsteinview, the Affensteinpromenade (simian stone promenade) or Big Winterberg (the second-highest mountain of Saxon Switzerland). Wanderings are to be gone from here on at least 10 different day routes possibly without way twice.
The ship landing stage directly in the place has a ferry line to the city railroad station. From here one reaches in the short tact to other places of interest in the glen of Elbe, e.g., to the fortress King's stone or to the rock stage Rathen and is at 45 minutes in Dresden (Church of Our Lady) or Meissen (wine-growing).

In the other direction you reach Prague in well one hour. Bad Schandau in Saxon Switzerland with Tuscany Therme is 4 km away. A 9-hole golf course is 4 km away in the Bohemian Switzerland. You find purchasing possibilities in Hrensko (Hernskretschen CZ) in 2 km of distance or in the local core of Bad Schandau.

Schmilka is a goal of the 5th stage in the painter's way which was chosen the most popular tour of Germany in 2008, in 2009 and 2010. In addition, Schmilka lies directly with the Elbe cycle track, the cycle track most popular for many years of Germany.
